THE KAVEYRA GUIDES / PLANNING

The occasionwear preorder checklist

Before paying for a preorder, have every term that affects your event agreed in writing: what you are buying, what is included, when it will be ready, and what happens if something changes. Work backwards from your event date, and keep a written specification you can check against.

What must be agreed before payment?

A preorder asks you to commit before the garment exists in your hands. That makes written answers more important than impressions from photographs. Confirm each of these with the seller directly:

  • Exactly which garment and colour you are ordering
  • Which pieces are included
  • Fibre composition and decoration method, if stated
  • How sizing is determined and what information you must provide
  • Total price, currency, and any taxes or duties you may owe
  • Expected readiness and dispatch dates
  • Delivery to your country and who handles it
  • Cancellation, change and return terms
  • How to contact the seller, and expected response times

For the KAVEYRA Royal Blue Anarkali, the listed price is USD 2,800, and orders are not yet open. Many of the items above are not yet confirmed, so treat them as open questions.

How do event dates become an order timeline?

Work backwards from the event rather than forwards from today. Fill in each date once the seller confirms its stage:

MilestoneYour dateDepends on
Event dayFixed
Final try-on with full outfitLeaves time for problems
Local adjustments, if you arrange themYour own tailor's availability
Garment receivedSeller's dispatch and delivery terms
DispatchSeller confirmation
Order placed and specification agreedAll answers received in writing

If any gap looks tight, raise it before payment rather than after.

Separate a dispatch estimate from an arrival commitment. The date a parcel leaves the maker is not the date you can try the garment on. Leave room in your plan for delivery uncertainty and any fitting you arrange, and ask what the seller can actually commit to before relying on an event deadline.

What belongs in the final specification?

Keep one document that you and the seller both recognise. Copy this template:

Garment: [name, colour]. Included pieces: [list]. Fibre and decoration: [as confirmed]. Size information provided: [what, and date sent]. Price and currency: [amount]. Expected dispatch: [date]. Delivery to: [city, country]. Change and return terms: [summary, with link]. Confirmed by: [seller contact, date].

Also record the approved order reference and specification version, the measurement-guide version, the agreed total including shipping and any stated charges, payment stages, and what happens if the schedule or specification changes. Keep the seller’s actual policy wording alongside any summary. A browser-generated draft reference is not proof that a seller has accepted an order.

What does the KAVEYRA planner do?

The KAVEYRA preorder planner helps you prepare a draft in your browser page memory. It does not submit an order, reserve the garment or take payment. Copying or downloading your draft is an explicit step you choose. Maker guidance, contact details and detailed measurements are not yet available through it. Copy anything you want to keep before leaving the page.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Write your event date, fill the timeline table backwards, and copy the specification template so it is ready when orders and seller contact open.
